CHI Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to provide essential patient transport and related support across the campus. You will verify patient identification, greet and transfer patients, and monitor patient condition during transport while upholding high standards of care and professionalism.

Responsibilities include transporting patients to imaging, assisting with positionings, and keeping equipment and linen areas organized, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AHA BLS within 30 Days.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Transports patients safely to the imaging department.
• Transports patients back to their rooms upon completion of examination and ensures that the patient is hooked up to all devices that were removed for transport.
• Assists technologists in positioning and moving patients utilizing necessary lift systems.
• Documents initials on the requisition two patient identifiers, oxygen levels and what devices the patient was hooked up to prior to transport.
• Maintains clean linen supply. Monitors blanket warmer and restocks when needed. Stocks patient scrubs.
• Disinfects all gurneys and wheelchairs on a regular basis. Ensures equipment is properly stored when not in use.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.

Every day you will promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas. You will meticulously confirm patient identification, greet and assist in transferring patients, and make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel. You will also maintain a clean and organized work area and report any malfunctioning equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service for all individuals within our facility. You will be attentive, observant, and capable of performing duties efficiently while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.

$17.67 - $24.96 /hour
