As a Patient Transporter, you will play a vital role in the safety of our patients by assisting nurses with moving/transporting patients throughout the facility with various equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers. You will be joining our very energetic, engaged, and customer service focused team that we like to call family! Transporters are constantly on the move in this fast-paced environment, walking the equivalent of 10-12 miles per shift! You will have the opportunity to build relationships with the goal of making an impact on our patients at such an important time in their lives. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers is required (must meet AHA curriculum guidelines and skills session must be in-person). Banner accepts BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), and American Red Cross.
The hours for this full-time position are 9:00am-9:30pm and will require a weekend and holiday rotation. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool as well as enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.

Position Summary
This position transports patients and distributes requested items as needed throughout the facility in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols.
