Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a part-time Transporter in the Imaging department. The role includes transporting patients, assisting in the darkroom, stocking supplies, and handling front office duties.

You will also support clerical tasks and PACS-related activities as required. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and BCLS (AHA) certification at hire with ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Imaging department.
• Darkroom duties, order supplies, stock, dress patients, and perform front office duties.
• Provide clerical support by answering phones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions.
• Retrieve patient records and assist with PACS-related tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate courteous telephone etiquette and greet visitors in a polite manner.

• Location: 333 Madison St, Joliet IL

Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all inclusive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required, of an individual assigned to this job. The transporter transports patients to and from the department. Other duties include but are not limited to; Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties. This performs clerical duties for the department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The transporter should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in department person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
