Responsabilités

• Check in internal and third-party trailers.
• Record trailer and PO information in the yard log or receiving system.
• Maintain accurate yard and trailer records.
• Communicate with the Warehouse Receiving Clerk to determine the appropriate receiving bay.
• Communicate the assigned bay to the driver.
• Maintain communication with Warehouse Receiving during the offload process.
• Confirm when the trailer has been fully offloaded.
• Escalate issues such as missing PO information, incorrect deliveries, or unavailable bays to Transportation Management.
• Make sure drivers follow the required chocking process once parked, and complete the chock/release process before the trailer leaves the yard.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and report any safety concerns.
• Perform additional yard duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Transportation Yard Clerk is responsible for checking in inbound internal and third-party trailers, maintaining accurate yard records, and coordinating with drivers and the Warehouse Receiving team to ensure trailers move safely and efficiently through the yard and receiving process.

Responsibilities:

• Check in internal and third-party trailers.
• Record trailer and PO information in the yard log or receiving system.
• Maintain accurate yard and trailer records.
• Communicate with the Warehouse Receiving Clerk to determine the appropriate receiving bay.
• Communicate the assigned bay to the driver.
• Maintain communication with Warehouse Receiving during the offload process.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively with drivers, Warehouse Receiving, and Transportation teams.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to work early morning start times beginning at 5:00 AM, including weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation, consistent with applicable law.
• Ability to move safely around an active yard with moving trucks and trailers.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This position operates primarily outdoors in an active truck yard and around loading docks. Associates may be exposed to moving trucks, trailers, and equipment, varying weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels.
