Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking an on-call Transportation Worker with CNA preference to support the Mental Health program at La Paz in Paramount, CA. The role centers on transporting members to off-site appointments and fulfilling related transportation assignments.

Shifts vary, with day and evening windows; starting wage is $23 per hour, with geographic differentials applied. The position requires a valid CA driver's license, CPI/CPR/First Aid certifications, and compliance with Telecare's

Qualifications

• One (1) year of professional driving experience required.
• Must have valid Class 'C' CA driver's license and insurability.
• CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications due by start date or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport Telecare members to off-site appointments and other transportation tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to licensing, background checks, and regulatory requirements; maintain vehicle and insurance responsibilities.
• Possess valid and current driver’s license and, if applicable, Class 'B' licensure for transporting more than seven persons.
• Be willing to use personal or Telecare vehicles for transports with mileage reimbursement as per IRS rates.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Driver is responsible for transporting of members served to off-site appointments, as well as other transportation assignments.

Shifts Available:

Days - Varies as needed, 7:00 am - 3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm

Expected starting wage range is $23

Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• A High School diploma or a G.E.D
• Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multi-cultural populations is required (e.g., family member, volunteer, or previous experience, related classes, stated interest)
• One (1) year of professional driving experience is required
• A valid Class \"C\" California Driver's License and insurability are required
• Acceptable driving record
• Must attain valid Class 'B' licensure (If transporting more than seven (7) persons served)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.(weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)\[IF NEEDED]
