You will play a vital role in keeping Pendleton County moving safely year-round.
As a Transportation Worker 2 Equipment Operator for Pendleton County, you may operate single and tandem-axle trucks, front-end loaders, skid steers, mowers, and snowplows to perform roadway maintenance and repairs. In addition to operating machinery, your role encompasses essential hands-on maintenance, such as asphalt patching, ditching, mowing, setting up traffic control barricades, and flagging. This work will involve a great degree of strenuous activity, working in extreme weather conditions and could require the ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more. Candidates must also be available for emergency call-outs and willing to work 12 hour days or night shifts during seasonal Snow Removal and Ice Control (SRIC) operations. Candidates will perform related work as required.
