Job summary

Aspen Peaks School District in American Fork, UT seeks a Transportation Systems Specialist (Driver on Special Assignment). This role reviews bus surveillance footage, investigates incidents, and supports safety, operations and driver technology needs.

In addition to investigations, the position may perform regular driving duties and requires maintaining records, coordinating with leadership, and using GPS and radio systems. Competitive hourly contract with 6 hours/day, 179 days/year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Utah CDL Class B with School Bus endorsement.
• Drug test clearance.
• Criminal background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review bus surveillance footage to investigate student behavior, safety concerns, complaints and incidents.
• Conduct objective investigations by examining video evidence and documenting findings.
• Communicate findings to transportation leadership and school personnel to support responses.
• Manage and monitor bus surveillance systems, GPS tracking, radios and related tech.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district procedures in handling records.
• Perform regular school bus driving duties as needed to support operations.
