Job summary

Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Specialist to oversee day-to-day activities of Class A CDL drivers and company equipment. You will coordinate pickups, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.

You will work with engineering to address capacity, manage attendance, and communicate with customers and leadership while maintaining thorough records and using TMS tools to support decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in management, business, logistics, transportation, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of three years of related supervisory experience is required.
• Transportation or logistics industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of assigned Class A CDL drivers and company equipment, including attendance and route status.
• Monitor DOT and FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
• Monitor driver performance, including on-time pickups, route adherence, and shipment detail compliance.
• Track KPIs such as loaded-mile percentage, on-time service, deadhead/bobtail avoidance, and dwell time.
• Coordinate capacity planning with drivers and engineering to meet service commitments.
• Support driver attendance tracking, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Provide timely communication with customers, drivers, and leadership; maintain transportation records and reports.
• Use TMS and reporting tools to support decision-making and ensure data accuracy.
• Commit to cost efficiency, asset utilization, fuel conservation, and reducing emissions while ensuring safety and service.
• Lead and develop drivers, including coaching, performance evaluation, and training participation.
• Maintain knowledge of ISO and company standards related to operational processes.
