Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise and develop a delivery driver team.
• Experience leading transportation, distribution, or manufacturing teams is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of DOT compliance laws.
• Ability to coach and train frontline staff.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of delivery drivers in the transportation delivery operation
• Maintain on-time deliveries with a Full, Fresh and Friendly mindset
• Work with operations planning teams to coordinate schedules and deliveries
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to identify and address transportation/safety/customer service opportunities in a timely manner
• Assist in identifying/designing technology and procedural solutions to increase productivity and adhere to safe work methods
• Support and communicate with other department supervisors and managers in problem solving through collaborative scheduling efforts
• Communicate with the customer and COE to resolve delivery problems
• Manage the condition of all delivery equipment and remove barriers for the team
• Coach the team on delivery protocol and methods to be effective
• Maintain coaching records and drive continuous improvement
• Communicate with supervisors and management on daily operations and safety practices
• Maintain a professional and positive work environment
• Create a responsive workforce through regular meetings and huddles
• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews
