Job summary

Chick-fil-A Supply is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and navigators at a new Distribution Center. The role focuses on safe, efficient outbound transportation, meeting KPIs, and collaborating with store Operators to integrate DC and restaurant operations.

The ideal candidate has extensive private fleet experience, strong leadership, safety knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets while delivering exceptional customer service to Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with private fleet operations.
• Knowledge of food service distribution outbound transportation procedures, equipment, and performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of innovations in supply chain and warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, staff, schedule, and support a dynamic team responsible for delivering, transporting, unloading, and completing other outbound distribution tasks.
• Optimize driver/route assignments while complying with DOT guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues with drivers during deliveries.
• Conduct restaurant delivery audits to identify improvements and monitor driver performance.
• Lead processing of trip reports and related documentation.
• Monitor payroll entries and outbound transportation expenditures.
• Support budget management of outbound transportation at the DC.
• Establish strong relationships with store Operators to align DC and Restaurant operations.
• Deliver high service levels to Operators and achieve KPIs.
• Train and develop a strong team and recognize performance.
• Collaborate with the Transportation Manager on staff performance and improvements.
