Qualifications

  • Must have experience in managing DOT regulated transportation or route management.
  • HS diploma/GED required.
  • One year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
  • 0 to One year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient execution of daily transportation activities.
  • Monitor routes, assign loads and routes to drivers, and track delivery performance.
  • Manage freight claims and billing processes.
  • Conduct truck checkins to verify arrival and departure status.
  • Serve as a key point of communication between drivers, customers, and operations teams.
  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
  • Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate worker activities.
  • Monitor site KPIs.
  • Collaborate with customers across all aspects of operations.
  • Meet with team members to monitor progress, coach, counsel, and recognize successes.
  • Improve internal processes through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and cooperation.
  • Carry out performance evaluations and recommend performance awards or merit increases.
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
  • Implement health, safety, and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company rules and policies.
  • Provide employee and Lead Hand orientation, information, technology, and materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING DOT REGULATED TRANSPORTATION OR ROUTE MANAGEMENT.
