Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising and training drivers at the Operating Company (OpCo), ensuring safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. Monitors DOT logs, ensures compliance with regulations, and coordinates driver information tracking. Performs duties to serve the company effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervises staff, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management. Assists with scheduling and rides with drivers for training/evaluation.
• Supports the Transportation/Operations Manager with daily transportation and delivery activities, including payroll, trip logs, expense reports, problem resolution, and compliance. Uses fleet management systems.
• Ensures driver safety through vehicle safety checks, proper equipment use, and attendance at safety meetings.
• Tracks driver information such as licenses, tickets, accidents, and safety data.
• Completes delivery and driver paperwork accurately, including invoices, trip reports, fuel tickets, DOT logs, and accident reports.
• Maintains vehicles through post-trip inspections.
• Works with management to minimize costs and optimize routing.
• Participates in route deliveries/backhauls as needed.
• May become a PACE Trainer or Champion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 2-4 years in transportation or related fields, knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, experience with fleet management systems, supervisory experience, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
