Job summary

Domino’s Kentucky DC (DC Kentucky-KY52) is seeking a dedicated Transportation Supervisor to lead a team of Class A/B drivers, oversee scheduling, routing, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

The role emphasizes safety, performance coaching, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, fleet, and customer service to ensure reliable deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, some college hours, 2-year degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of documented supervisory experience.
  • 2-3 years of route scheduling experience.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Transportation, FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • MS Office, SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), computers, and scanner equipment/software.
  • Willingness to support a 24-hour operation, including carrying an emergency cell phone as needed.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational, decision-making and people skills.
  • Successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, select, and mentor new and tenured drivers.
  • Monitor drivers' performance and coach as needed.
  • Complete driver's annual performance reviews.
  • Review driver's logs and coach according to company standards.
  • Collaborate on drivers' onboarding and training.
  • Ensure a safe work environment compliant with FMCSA, OSHA and company standards.
  • Effectively communicate day-to-day with drivers, departments and vendors.
  • Create a positive environment, morale and respect among team members.
  • Coordinate safety and quarterly meetings.
  • Prepare and assist with transportation generated reports.
  • Monitor budget and fuel cards to maximize funds.
  • Participate in budget development.
  • Schedule weekly driver routes and re-routing to ensure coverage.
  • Monitor driver hours of service via onboard system.
  • Perform payroll duties when necessary and review driver payroll for accuracy.
  • Schedule truck maintenance and coordinate deliveries and backhauls.

Job Description

Summary: The supervisor oversees a team of drivers [Class A and B] delivering to Domino’s Pizza stores. The supervisor is responsible for scheduling drivers, routing trucks, reviewing trip sheets for accuracy and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, state, local laws, and company policies and programs. Effectively and efficiently handle customer complaints and concerns. Train new drivers in job duties, safely, and complete Job Safety Observations (JSO). The supervisor must be comfortable working in a diverse, fast paced environment.

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm-12:00am must be flexible

Compensation: Starting at $80,000 depending on experience + Bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Leadership:

  • Recruit, interview, select, and mentor new and tenured drivers
  • Monitor drivers' performance and hold accountable when performance is below expectations, using coaching and/or progressive discipline, as needed
  • Complete driver's annual performance reviews
  • Review driver's lytx and logs and coach according to the company
  • Collaborate on drivers' onboarding and training
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with FMCSA, OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirements
  • Effectively communicate day-to-day with drivers, departments and vendors
  • Create a positive environment, morale and respect among team members
  • Attend and participate in classroom or virtual Leadership & Development trainings
  • Coordinate safety/team/quarterly meetings

Reporting/Budget:

  • Prepare and assist with Transportation generated reports
  • Monitor budget and fuel cards to ensure funds are maximized
  • Participate in the development of budgets

Routing, Scheduling, Hours of Service, and Maintenance:

  • Weekly schedule driver routes and re-routing as necessary to ensure route coverage
  • Conduct route analysis and recommend saving opportunities to Manager
  • Monitor driver hours of service via onboard system
  • Conduct route observations to ensure Drivers are safely performing their duties as required by company and DOT standards (The numbers of observations per period are determined by the number of drivers at the SCC)
  • Maintain and monitor food safety standards in compliance with company and franchisee requirements
  • Perform payroll duties when necessary and review driver payroll for accuracy
  • Monitor mis-deliveries, and make recommendations to Manager on avoidance strategies
  • Schedule truck maintenance and maintain fleet image
  • Coordinate deliveries and backhauls activities
  • Assist the Transportation Manager with truck leasing meetings to ensure PMs are met to Domino’s standard and repairs are completed in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
  • As needed, if qualified, drive company vehicle or straight truck for deliveries or to leasing company for service/maintenance, and on occasion work the yard

Customer Relations:

  • Answer Slice of Pie complaints and keep leadership informed of findings
  • Maintain positive customer relationships

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and lift to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (non-airconditioned warehouse), both indoors and outdoors, including refrigerated conditions [33-38]
