Job summary

ELEMENT Engineering Group is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer for our transportation structures team in Florida, based in Tampa or Orlando. You will design and deliver transportation projects, including bridges, retaining walls, and sign structures, while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, project management, and mentoring junior staff within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
Master's Degree with emphasis in Structures preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required or planned.
Minimum two years post-PE structural engineering experience.
Experience with FDOT standards and transportation structures.
Proven ability to mentor staff and lead projects.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for transportation infrastructure projects.
Prepare plans, calculations, specifications, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
Support bridge and culvert rehabilitation and repair design.
Mentor junior engineers and oversee quality control.
Engage with clients and stakeholders; assist business development.
