Job summary

Jefferson City Care & Rehab Center is seeking a Transportation Specialist (CNA) to transport residents, staff, and volunteers to scheduled events, coordinating services with staff and ensuring safety. The role requires CNA certification for Missouri, CPR, and the ability to operate a vehicle.

You will follow safety protocols, maintain vehicle logs, and report issues to the Transportation Coordinator. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• CNA certification is required for the state of Missouri.
• Valid State Insurance and License.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
• Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members.
• Assists residents in and out of the vehicle using proper safety procedures.
• Operates the vehicle and monitors safety during transport.

Essential Functionsof Transportation Specialist (CNA):

• Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.

• Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members

• Assists residents in and out of the vehicle, using proper safety procedures

• Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound patients

• Follows written and verbal before leaving center with residents

• Obtain appropriate paperwork before leaving center with resident

• Assess and correct inappropriate resident appearance before leaving center

• Follow Resident’s Rights

• Follow center safety protocol

• Dress professional and represent the center in a professional manner

• Monitors and reports necessary mechanical maintenance needed to ensure safe operations of vehicle, including reporting of any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles

• Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions

• Maintains records such as vehicle logs and destinations are required

• Reports any issues or problem that may arise to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator

• Complies with state, federal and all other applicable health care and safety standards

• Performs other duties as assigned
