Job summary

Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation seeks a Transportation Driver (CNA) to transport residents and staff to events with safety and reliability. You will coordinate services with staff and ensure proper safety procedures when assisting residents in and out of vehicles.

We offer a $4,000 sign-on bonus for full-time, competitive pay based on experience, PTO after 30 days, tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Required valid CNA certification in Missouri and CPR certification.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record.
• Email and phone number must be active for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
• Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members.
• Assists residents in and out of the vehicle using proper safety procedures.
• Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound patients.
• Maintains vehicle logs and reports issues to Transportation Coordinator.

Essential FunctionsofTransportation Driver (CNA):

• Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
• Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members
• Assists residents in and out of the vehicle, using proper safety procedures
• Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound patients
• Follows written and verbal before leaving center with residents
• Obtain appropriate paperwork before leaving center with resident
• Assess and correct inappropriate resident appearance before leaving center
• Follow Resident’s Rights
• Follow center safety protocol
• Dress professional and represent the center in a professional manner
• Monitors and reports necessary mechanical maintenance needed to ensure safe operations of vehicle, including reporting of any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
• Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions
• Maintains records such as vehicle logs and destinations are required
• Reports any issues or problem that may arise to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator
• Complies with state, federal and all other applicable health care and safety standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

QualificationsofTransportation Driver (CNA):

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri
• Must be CPR certified
• Must be able to operate a vehicle
• Valid State Insurance and Class E Driver's License with no marks on their driving record
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
