Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV is seeking an energetic limousine and shuttle driver. You will transport guests to and from the airport and nearby locations, assist with luggage, and help guests in and out of vehicles. A Nevada CDL is required, and you must be comfortable transporting 16+ passengers.

Applicants should be able to read maps and safety rules, communicate in English, and lift up to 75 pounds. Familiarity with hotel events and strong customer service skills are essential for success

Qualifications

• 21 years+ minimum age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret maps, safety rules, and manuals.
• Able to communicate effectively in English with guests and staff.
• Maintain a Nevada CDL and clean DMV printout per policy.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must lift 75 lbs. or more and handle physical tasks.
• Operate two-way radio or cellphone for coordination.
• Remain professional and courteous in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
• Extensive knowledge of the Reno/Sparks area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, vehicle maintenance, and proper wheel chair lift procedures.
• Stay informed about hotel events/promotions to answer guest inquiries.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Greet guests and assist them with luggage. Assist guests in/out of the limousine and shuttles.


• A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required to for this position. Ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle and comfortable transporting 16 or more passengers.


• Must be knowledgeable of Limousine and shuttle bus functions, maintenance, and safety including the proper procedures for handling wheelchair lift, temperature control, checking and maintaining fuel/fluid levels, etc.


• Must be knowledgeable of hotel events/promotions in order to readily respond to a quests inquiry.

• Valid Nevada Commercial Driver’s License


• Current Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles Printout - no points


• Pre-employment drug test required.


• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. or more. Frequent lifting of supplies and equipment.


• Ability to communicate via two-way radio or cellphone.


• Excellent visual perception


• Extensive knowledge of the Reno/Sparks area a plus.


• Extensive sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending and kneeling.


• Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude towards all guests and staff.


• Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment.


• Must be people oriented and able to work independently or with others as needed.


• Must be able to easily and frequently change from one activity to another.
