Job summary

The ROADS Foundation, Inc. seeks a CDL driver to transport patients in Compton/LA area, including shuttle and mobile units. Must hold a CDL with passenger endorsement and maintain a clean driving record. Bilingual Spanish is preferred to assist a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities include safe patient transport, coordinating with scheduling, and performing routine vehicle inspections. This is a fast-paced role with essential community impact and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Spanish language skills preferred for communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients using company vehicles, including shuttle and mobile units.
• Maintain clear communication with the transportation coordinator regarding schedule and instructions.
• Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and ensure shuttle/mobile units are clean and operable.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and regulations.
• Report vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents per guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferred Experience : Transporting healthcare patients and experience driving shuttle and mobile units.
• License Requirements :
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Skills :
• Language Skills : Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Patient Transport : Safely and professionally transport patients using company vehicles, including shuttle and mobile units.
• Communication : Maintain clear communication with the transportation coordinator regarding the schedule and instructions.
• Vehicle Maintenance : Complete daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness of shuttle and mobile units.
• Adherence to Regulations : Operate vehicles, including shuttle and mobile units, in compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and federal/state regulations.
• Reporting : Report any vehicle malfunctions, traffic accidents, or other incidents according to company guidelines.
• Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
