Job summary

America West Transportation LLC is seeking a Transport Driver to deliver courteous, consistent customer service on local routes in the Compton area. Drivers will assist clients entering and exiting vehicles and must be prepared to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Applicants should be able to perform vehicle pre-inspections, learn efficient routes with GPS, and comply with safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license or CDL required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid card preferred but not required.
• Familiar with driving region and surrounding areas.
• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the posted job location for at least five years with limited violations.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-inspection checks on vehicles before operation.
• Transport clients to and from destinations safely.
• Assist clients with boarding and disembarking at the doors.

Transport Driver

We are seeking a courteous and friendly who can deliver excellent customer service consistently. Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a \"through the door\" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.

What You’ll Do

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection checks on all vehicles they are driving. They must make sure all items or any other devices are stored away properly. Drivers must drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner.

On the road locally in the Compton region

Qualifications

License

• Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license required.

Education & Training

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.


• Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.


• Drivers should be familiar with the driving region and the surrounding areas.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.


• Must have a validspecificstate driver's license of posted job location for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.


• Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.


• Experience working with the elderly population


• Physical certifications: : Must pass Non-DOT Physical, Drug Screen, Tuberculosis (TB) test, and Breath Alcohol test.


• Required Immunizations & Vaccines: MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine. Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccine.


• Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and drug and alcohol screening


• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.


• Bilingual in another language in addition to English preferred

• Must pass pre-employment screening - background and drug screen which includes alcohol screening


• May be subjected to multiple drug and alcohol screenings to maintain Driver credentials

Physical Requirements

Driver must be able to pass the physical test:

• Lift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS


• Bend from the waist


• Pivot from waist


• Be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing

The pay range for this role is:
