A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Transport Associate to assist in the timely delivery of various items within and outside the facility. Candidates should have a High School Diploma, a valid New York State Driver's License, and preferably some experience in transportation. This role supports patient care by safely moving supplies and medication throughout the hospital environment.
Job Description
Assists in picking up and delivering various items between various internal and external hospital locations. Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility.
Job Responsibility
1.Assists in picking-up and delivering equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to various internal and external hospital locations.
2.Handles items in accordance with operating procedures.
3.Ensures timely delivery of items to appropriate locations; communicates delays in delivery / pickup time, as required.
4.Operates transport vehicles both on and off property.
5.Performs pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle.
5.Maintains vehicle mileage records.
6.Operates all vehicles in accordance with applicable laws; fuels vehicles as necessary.
7.Informs management of all vehicle activities and issues.
