Work Model: This position is based at an active mine site and requires daily onsite presence. Work conditions may include uneven terrain, climbing ladders, navigating steps, and exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, or mud. Monday - Friday required.
Regular in-person attendance consistent with the Company's established work schedule is an essential function of this position to facilitate effective collaboration, communication, and business operations.
Position Summary
This position coordinates customer deliveries, transportation appointments, and shipping activities to ensure products move efficiently from Oil-Dri facilities to customers. The role works closely with Customer Service, Production, Logistics, Shipping, and transportation providers to align demand, production, and delivery schedules.
The Opportunity
- Serve as a key connection point between customers, carriers, production, and logistics teams
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping activities
- Manage appointments, scheduling activities, and transportation execution
- Develop expertise in logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations
- Join a collaborative team supporting multiple Oil-Dri facilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule customer delivery and pickup appointments
- Coordinate transportation activities for domestic and international shipments
- Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Create, maintain, and update loads within JDE
- Monitor appointment schedules and loading activity
- Coordinate drayage and export-related transportation requirements
- Support rail shipment coordination activities
- Work closely with production scheduling teams when priorities change
- Develop and maintain transportation and service metrics
- Document and maintain logistics procedures and work instructions

- Customer delivery and pickup appointments are scheduled accurately and on time
- Orders move efficiently through the shipping process
- Transportation issues are resolved quickly
- Stakeholders receive timely communication and updates
- Service and logistics metrics meet performance expectations
Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or scheduling experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Experience
- ERP experience such as JDE or SAP
- Experience using customer or carrier portals
- Manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain experience
