Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in the Mountain Area seeks a Safety Leader to advance the safety culture across transportation and operations. You will focus on leading indicators, audits, and investigations to drive improvements and ensure compliance with DFA and regulatory requirements.

You will coach and mentor employees, manage training programs, coordinate drug and alcohol testing, and support environmental permits and reporting while maintaining records and liaising with OSHA and DFA Risk

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
OSHA certifications and Certified Safety Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead safety culture and drive leading indicators while reducing risks.
Conduct injury investigations and manage workers’ compensation cases.
Ensure DFA and regulatory compliance for transportation, OSHA, DOT, and Environmental policies.
Coordinate safety training, audits, and safety meetings.
Collaborate with HR and Environmental staff to address incidents.
Be on-call for safety incidents and regulatory inquiries.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and communicate safety outcomes.
