Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools Transportation Office in Pasadena, Maryland seeks a Support Specialist: Transportation to assist in planning, routing, and scheduling student transportation for Gen Ed, non-public, and McKinney Vento students.

This role includes supervising drivers and attendants, coordinating with Central Office, schools, and families, and handling transportation issues throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in business administration, public administration, or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists in computerized routing, scheduling, assignment of transportation services and tracking/maintenance software.
• Responsible for homeless student transportation routing and scheduling.
• Responsible for Gen Ed and Non-Public Student routing and scheduling.
• Tracks and submits contractors payments.
• Meets with Central Office staff, school admins, parents to resolve issues and attend IEP/hearings when directed.
