Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) seeks a Support Specialist for Transportation to assist with planning, routing, and scheduling of student transportation across Gen Ed, public, and non-public routes. The position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and proficiency with office software.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• One year of related professional experience in public school transportation or similar agency required.
• Strong MS Office and digital communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routing, scheduling, and tracking transportation services.
• Maintain homeless student transportation routing and scheduling.
• Coordinate Gen Ed and non-public student routing and scheduling.
• Track and submit contractor payments and prepare reports.
• Attend meetings with school administrators, parents, and officials as needed.
• Oversee drivers and aides, observe operations, and produce road observation reports.
• Respond to accidents and maintain familiarity with county developments affecting routes.
