Job summary

Kemps is seeking a Transportation/Routing Supervisor at the Minneapolis Milk Plant in Minneapolis, MN. The role oversees scheduling and dispatch of drivers, optimizing routes to reduce costs, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will lead by example, support team development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years in dispatching, logistics, transportation or related experience preferred.
• Ability to use MS Office Excel to filter large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work directions to professional drivers and maintain daily activity assignments.
• Schedule and dispatch daily loads/shipments to meet customer needs and optimize routes.
• Dispatch drivers to loads based on availability, capacity, and deadlines; confirm times.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers and internal teams; communicate delivery instructions and updates.
• Create schedules, approve time, monitor overtime, and manage timekeeping.
