Job summary

Stantec is seeking Transportation Engineering Interns to join the roadway design and airport/structural engineering teams. This paid internship offers full-time hours during Summer 2027 with limited telework, and an office-based role in the Columbus area in the United States.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting roadway design, airport design, and structural engineering tasks, assisting in field construction, CAD drafting, and preparing engineering estimates under close supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with interest in transportation.
• Interest in transportation infrastructure design and problem solving.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a project team.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway design, airport design and structural engineering groups.
• Support roadway construction engineering groups in the field.
• Conduct basic calculations and assist in developing engineer's estimates.
• Assist team in preparing CAD drawings and reports.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
