Job summary

Stantec invites you to join our Transportation team as a paid Intern for Summer 2027 in Minneapolis. This office-based internship offers exposure to roadway design, airport design, and structural engineering, with limited teleworking.

You will support design teams, perform basic calculations, assist with CAD drawings, and learn from experienced engineers in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s engineering program.
• Experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel is a plus.
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation/Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway design, airport design and structural engineering groups.
• Support roadway construction engineering groups in the field.
• Conduct basic calculations and assist in developing engineer's estimates.
• Assist team in preparing CAD drawings and reports.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
