Job summary
Texas Department of Transportation is seeking Transportation Engineers I–V for the Central Design- Consultant Contracts Project Management team in the San Antonio district. The role supervises PS&E development, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance with state and federal requirements while coordinating consultant deliverables and CPM schedules.
The position offers a clear progression from Engineer I to V with annual salary ranges from $65,104 to $156,612, depending on level, experience,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science per TX PELS.
- Experience with PS&E development and plan preparation.
- Ability to manage consultant deliverables and CPM schedules.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or required within Texas.
Responsibilities
- Lead PS&E development from concept to letting.
- Coordinate consultant deliverables and review plans, specifications, estimates.
- Manage CPM schedules and risk mitigation for projects.
- Oversee contracts, invoices, and consultant performance.
- Lead staff and present to stakeholders as needed.
