Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Transportation Project Manager (PE) to lead design teams and develop business relationships in the Iowa market. This role offers hybrid work flexibility with the option to work from the Cedar Rapids office.

The ideal candidate will have a PE in Iowa, 8+ years of highway design experience, and proven abilities in project management, staff mentoring, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa is required.
• 8+ years of highway design experience is required.
• Knowledge of IowaDOT design standards and the AASHTO Green Book is required.
• Experience managing and mentoring staff is required.
• Experience with project management, proposals, and business development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate client relationships in dynamic markets for transportation projects in Iowa.
• Lead design teams on transportation project design and delivery (roadway, drainage, traffic, preservation).
• Collaborate with contractors and owners to develop innovative construction staging approaches.
• Lead junior staff and promote their technical growth.
