Job summary

Apex is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead complex transportation infrastructure projects for FDOT, counties, and municipalities in Florida. You will manage pursuit, design, permitting, bidding, and construction, guiding a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and specialists.

The role emphasizes client relationships, staff mentorship, and delivering high-quality results. You will coordinate with authorities, monitor budgets and schedules, and play a key part in business

Qualifications

• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 8+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience managing FDOT, counties, municipalities, or other public-sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT standards and project delivery processes.
• Ability to lead teams and develop staff, and build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and lead multidisciplinary project teams delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with FDOT and local agencies, coordinate with utilities and permitting authorities.
• Oversee project budgets and schedules and guide technical staff through design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
• Support business development, proposals, interviews, and client relationship management.
