Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager in Tampa, FL to lead design projects in the Southeast Region. The role oversees roadway design staff and coordinates client-focused project delivery, with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering as a baseline qualification.

Responsibilities include managing schedules and deliverables, coordinating documentation, and supporting business development with FDOT and local municipalities. PE is required and a valid license is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant industry experience.
• At least five years of progressive responsibility within the industry.
• FDOT roadway design experience, including design methods, plan preparation, standards & specifications.
• Proficient with MicroStation; experience with OpenRoads Designer.
• PE is required; licensure may be regional or state-specific.

Responsibilities

• Provide plan review and project management for Southeast region clients (FL-GA).
• Organize activities, schedules, and reporting in support of projects.
• Prepare, issue and track project documentation for all phases.
• Prepare correspondence with clients, vendors and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare invoices and purchase orders; coordinate with outside resources.
