Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead transportation projects in the United States. You will drive projects from scoping through delivery, prepare technical proposals and procurement documents, and oversee contract negotiations.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, and technical requirements, coordinating with partners, and mentoring project teams. Strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 10 years relevant experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned transportation project(s) throughout their full lifecycle.
• Develop project scopes, fee quotations, technical proposals, procurement documents, and contracts.
• Participate in contract negotiations and oversee delivery of project plans.
• Proactively manage budgets, schedules, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production.
• Lead development and execution of project management plans.
• Coordinate internal and external partners to resolve design-related issues.
• Supervise and mentor project teams.
• Coordinate project staffing, recruitment, development, retention, succession, performance, and compensation reviews.
• Support business development, client relationships, and pursuit efforts.
• Prepare proposal and presentation materials and lead client interview presentations.
• Provide technical guidance to team and task leads.
