Job summary

Garver in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Transportation Team. You will assist in design and creation of construction documents for a variety of transportation projects, applying roadway geometry, drainage, and 3D modeling.

The position requires an ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, plus EIT or PE, 2–8 years of related experience, and strong communication and MS Office skills. On-the-job training is provided and Garver offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE).
2-8 years of related experience.
Strong communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and creation of construction documents for transportation projects.
Establish roadway geometric design for horizontal and vertical alignments including super elevation.
Evaluate drainage needs with hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
Determine construction perimeters by 3D modeling of roadway corridors.
Design traffic components of permanent and temporary traffic control during construction.
Calculate quantities and assist in submittal production through plan sheet setup and drafting.
