Job summary

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to support our Transportation Team in Ridgeland, MS. The role focuses on roadway geometry, drainage analyses, and traffic control during construction, with on-site collaboration in our Ridgeland office.

The ideal candidate will have an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and EIT or PE registration, with 2–8 years of related experience and strong MS Office skills to contribute to project deliverables and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 2–8 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish roadway geometric design for horizontal and vertical alignments including super elevation.
• Evaluate drainage needs of open channels and storm sewer systems via hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
• Determine construction perimeters by 3D modeling of roadway corridors.
• Design traffic components including permanent and temporary traffic control during construction.
• Calculate quantities and assist in submittal production through plan sheet setup and drafting.
