Job summary

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm based in California, is hiring a Project Engineer to join our Northern California Transportation Division in Sacramento. You will support delivery of transportation projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

This staffed, hourly, non-exempt position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software.
  • Experience developing Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages for highway and local roadway projects.
  • Experience providing design support during project bidding and construction.
  • Experience preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis transportation systems including roads and multimodal facilities.
  • Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects from inception to completion, coordinating with clients and teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal design standards and obtain necessary permits.
  • Prepare technical reports and memorandums clearly summarizing results.
  • Mentor and oversee junior staff and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Support project pursuits with scope, schedule, and budget preparation.
