Job description

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a civil engineer to join our Land Development Division.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering studies for grading, sanitary sewer, drainage, and water systems, including entitlement and subdivision maps and site developments.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) for infrastructure improvements such as roads, sewer, water systems, grading and drainage facilities.
• Perform engineering analyses and prepare related reports such as hydraulic analyses, alternative analyses, and design calculations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist in the preparation of construction plans and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction submittal reviews, requests for information (RFI), and other construction related activities.
• Coordinate with other design team members and public agencies.
• Perform technical analyses and simulations to evaluate the feasibility and performance of engineering solutions.
• Assist survey and construction management team during project construction phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, organize, and analyze engineering data, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Proven capability to efficiently manage a variety of engineering functions, work effectively as part of an engineering team, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Location: Sacramento, CA

Compensation: $39.50 - $49.50 / hour
