Job summary

Souder, Miller & Associates is seeking a Project Engineer I/II for our Transportation tech sector in the Albuquerque NM office. A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required, with 4+ years of post‑graduation experience. NM P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Minimum 4–6 years of post‑graduate experience.
• Professional Engineering licensure required; NM P.E. preferred.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review traffic engineering designs including traffic signals, roadway lighting, signing and striping, ITS infrastructure and MOT plans.
• Prepare traffic engineering studies and reports for new or modified highway access.
• Assist with project pursuits and prepare traffic segments of proposals and scopes.
• Prepare traffic and operations safety analyses for current and proposed conditions.
• Use CAD/traffic software to prepare engineering and design documents.
