Job summary

Garver in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team and support municipal projects. Responsibilities include designing and creating construction documents, roadway components, drafting, quantities, specs, and cost estimates. Mentoring and marketing exposure offered.

Requirements: BS in civil engineering (ABET), EIT or EI, 1–4 years in transportation/civil design, strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI).
• 1-4 years’ related experience.
• Must have previous experience in transportation and/or civil engineering design.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and creating construction documents for municipal transportation projects.
• Develop roadway design components including typical sections, geometry, drainage, erosion control, safety features and traffic control plans.
• Prepare drawings, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates for construction documents.
