Job summary

Forsgren Associates, Inc., now Apex Company, is seeking a Transportation Engineer to prepare drawings, specs, and contract documents. You will coordinate with clients and regulators to secure permitting and manage budgets and schedules for projects in Montana.

We require a Montana-registered PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, plus 4+ years of civil engineering experience and transport facilities design for state/local agencies.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field) is required.
• PE registration in Montana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 4+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Experience designing transportation facilities for State DOTs and local jurisdictions.
• Experience with MDT procedures and requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, and Geopak.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies for permitting compliance.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for projects.
• Support clients with services during bidding, contracting, and construction.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control.
