Job summary
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking a Project Delivery Engineer to join us in our mission to provide the best possible transportation system for the movement of people and goods!
The District Project Delivery Engineer aids in the delivery of state and federal aid funded construction projects. The position assists in balancing project and program deliverability, scope, cost, and schedules. This team coordinates between Central Complex and District staff.
Qualifications
- PE license required or able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- FE exam eligibility within one year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Technical District Coordination with schedule and asset assessments.
- Technical Project Management to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Public engagement planning and execution for project delivery.
- Construction risk assessment and mitigation to protect program delivery.
- Quality assurance through plan review and bid readiness.
- Document approvals and development of local agreements.
- NEPA assumption support and program risk management.
- Supervise engineers and environmental coordinators as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
