Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a skilled Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as Programming Engineer in Spokane, WA. You will develop projects to preserve and improve regional assets for the statewide Capital Improvement Preservation Program, applying broad engineering experience and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the biennial Eastern Region construction program with regional and HQ involvement.
• Review content and prioritize tasks for the Eastern Region construction program.
• Make decisions about work within provided schedules and budgets.
• Determine locations to investigate and develop solution menus.
• Ensure coordination with region programs and project offices.
• Input data into Capital Connect, Unifier, and related systems.
• Scope improvement and preservation projects in the Region.
• Coordinate regional and HQ priorities and scoping efforts.
• Assist Region Admin and other managers on special projects.
• Collect and share scoping and prioritization information.
• Plan, develop, schedule, estimate, and coordinate project summaries.
