Job summary

Gresham Smith is seeking a Program Scheduler in the Transportation Market (Finance) to create and manage project schedules, track baselines, and support PMs with critical activities and forecasts. The role emphasizes strong attention to detail and independent work across multiple tasks in a collaborative, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years of project scheduling experience using WBS and CPM.
• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
• Ability to learn Georgia Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures.
• Understanding of firm operations, policies, and procedures, preferably in Architectural/Engineering.
• Proficiency in office equipment (PCs, calculators, copiers).
• MS Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Project.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Smartsheet preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules aligned with project management practices.
• Ensure schedule accuracy by tracking updates from project managers.
• Assist PMs in monitoring progress, identifying critical activities, and reviewing forecasts.
• Track baselines, perform what-if analyses, and help develop contingency plans.
• Identify projects behind baseline and develop recovery schedules for PM approval.
• Assist in tracking schedule status, updating spreadsheets and databases, and following up on updates.
• Attend meetings to provide input on schedule structure and proposed changes.
• Attend training to stay current with client and firm requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
