Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig, Inc. (FHU) seeks a summer intern to contribute to transportation planning projects in its Omaha, Nebraska or Des Moines, Iowa offices.

You will join a project team performing meaningful work under the guidance of qualified professionals, including analyses, documentation, and public engagement support. Ideal candidates are graduates or upper-level undergraduates in Urban/Regional Planning with strong computer and communication skills, available for a 3-month timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analyses and prepare written documentation as part of project teams.
• Develop multi-modal transportation plans for cities/counties, corridor studies, transit development plans, bicycle/pedestrian plans, and environmental assessments.
• Conduct research on transportation planning topics.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings and presentations in a supporting role.
• Provide public engagement support for planning projects.

• technical analyses and written documentation as a part of teams working on projects
• multi-modal transportation plans for cities and counties, corridor studies, transit development plans, bicycle and pedestrian plans, and environmental assessments
• conducting research into various transportation planning topics
• client and stakeholder meetings and presentations in a supporting role
• public engagement support for planning projects

Preferred Skills
