Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking an Engineer III, Transportation Planner to join our Chicago team. You will execute complex transportation analyses, develop sustainable solutions, and lead elements of multimodal projects under senior guidance.

The role requires a civil engineering background, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication with clients and internal teams. The position is on-site in Chicago, IL, with a comprehensive benefits package from Bowman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• EIT Registration or 6+ years of transportation engineering experience required.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering and planning work on projects.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports for phase I studies.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QA/QC of work.
