Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gathers, compiles and analyzes transportation data including traffic counters, flow data.
• Creates basic complexity modeling for existing and proposed transportation systems (roads; bridges; highways; tunnels; tolls).
• Reviews existing models and recommends improvements/changes as necessary.
• Uses transportation systems, models, simulations and data to prepare basic complexity studies of existing or proposed transportation systems.
• Creates transportation surveys, exhibits, and other meeting materials to identify public concerns and facilitate input.
• Leads and performs traffic count and safety studies.
• Reviews proposed transportation project sites for alignment with design plans.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws in transportation plans.
• Escalates legal compliance issues as necessary.
• Collaborates with engineers to research and resolve transportation schematic design issues.
