Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/Transportation Engineer to develop large-scale projects such as highways, tunnels, mass transit and aviation designs. The role involves reviewing designs for regulatory compliance, performing site studies, and updating design requirements to ensure alignment with location specifications.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in civil/transportation/structural engineering, willingness to travel up to 10%, and experience with CAD and design practices.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of computer aided design and drafting (CADD) 3D/4D software and practices.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale civil/transportation projects (highways, tunnels, mass transit, aviation) to meet client requirements.
• Review designs for compliance with regulations and firm policies.
• Conduct site reviews and studies to align designs with location specifications.
• Prepare/design posters or presentations for conferences as needed.
