Job summary

Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is seeking a Transportation Planner to conduct planning, research, and policy analysis for the CRCOG region. The role supports studies, RFQ processes, contracting, and coordination with municipalities on transportation projects.

The position emphasizes collaboration with staff, public engagement, and organizing Transportation Committee activities within a 50/50 hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Urban Studies, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation planning, research, and policy analysis for the CRCOG region.
• Support planning studies, RFQ process, consultant selection, contracting, invoicing, and reviewing deliverables.
• Collaborate with staff to advance transportation projects and initiatives, including scenario planning and walk audits.
• Assist and support traffic analyses and walk audits.
• Assist in organizing Transportation Committee meetings and related activities.
• Engage with community and public engagement activities related to transportation planning.
