New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is seeking a Transportation Planner to administer the development and maintenance of short- and long-range transit service plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
The role will lead projects, coordinate Title VI reporting, analyze ridership and land use data, and help integrate bus and rail services, with opportunities to guide service modifications and improvements.

$66,650-$75,000 annually (Position may be filled at the senior level based on candidate qualifications)
The Transportation Planner administers the development and maintenance of short- and long-range transit service plans, coordinating work within the RTA and with external partner agencies. The incumbent will assist in the development, planning, implementation, and review of existing and proposed transit routes, prepare information and submit information for the Title VI Annual Report, serve as project manager for special projects and coordinate land use and design review with outside agencies, and provide assistance in the strategic planning for bus and rail service integration.

Bachelors degree in urban planning, transportation planning, engineering, or related field. 5 years experience in transit, transportation, urban planning, or a related field.
Masters degree in urban planning, transportation planning, engineering, or related field.
A valid Louisiana Driver's License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out essential functions
