Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks an experienced Professional Engineer with a transportation focus to join our Surface Transportation Business Sector.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams on planning, design, construction, and permitting of transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs, delivering reports, drawings, and specifications. You will mentor junior staff, support business development, and coordinate with utilities and clients, while using

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferably Utah or able to obtain licensure within 90 days.
• 5-10 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Able to take small to medium size projects from design start to advertisement.
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on quality deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven technical background and skillset.
• History of working on projects with UDOT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary design teams on planning, design, construction, and permitting of transportation projects.
• Collaborate with traffic, structural, and other disciplines to deliver reports, studies, and drawings.
• Operate CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads) to produce alignments, models, and plans.
• Mentor junior staff such as EITs, drafters, and designers.
• Assist in business development by building client relationships and proposals.
• Coordinate with utility companies and attend client meetings and public meetings.
