Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Logan, Utah seeks a Professional Engineer – Lead to spearhead transportation projects in our Surface Transportation Business Sector.

You will lead design teams, mentor EITs and drafters, and coordinate with clients from planning through construction. The role requires a Utah PE license or ability to obtain within 90 days, 5–15 years of transportation experience, and a track record of delivering quality, compliant civil designs using MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferably in Utah or able to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
• 5-15 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Able to take small to medium size projects from design start to advertisement.
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on quality deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven technical background and skillset.
• History of working on projects with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary design teams in planning, design, construction, and permitting of transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs.
• Collaborate with traffic, structural, and other discipline engineers to deliver reports, studies, and drawings.
• Operate CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads) to produce alignments, models, and plans.
• Mentor junior staff such as EITs, drafters, and designers.
• Assist in business development by building client relationships and assisting with proposals.
• Support the Project Manager in scopes of work, contracts, and design budgets.
• Attend client meetings and public meetings to discuss project details.
